Strength in Fatherhood- What it means to us at Primal

1 min read /

With Father’s Day approaching, we’ve been reflecting at PRIMAL on the deeper meaning of strength — especially when it comes to fatherhood.

At PRIMAL, we believe: “Strength. It’s in us all.”
And our mission is clear: “Equipping every body to discover their true potential.”

But strength isn’t just about what happens in the gym — it’s about how we live, how we lead, and how we show up for the people who matter most to us.

We asked a few of the dads here at PRIMAL to share what strength means to them as fathers:

Steven Rinaldi, CEO & Founder

“My role as a dad is to inspire my kids to be their best self. Whether that’s setting an example at home by supporting them with their schoolwork or showing them how we are building PRIMAL as a team. Practically, myself and Kirsty lifting weights in our home gym and inspiring them to be strong is also very key for me — it is genuinely inspiring for children to see their parents lifting. I approach being a dad in the same way I do building our business: progress, not perfection.”

“As a dad, strength means more than ever — and not just physically. Training helps me show up as a better version of myself — more patient, more present, more resilient. Being strong means I can throw Leo in the air, crawl on the floor with him, and carry him upstairs — all while keeping energy for the rest of the day. It’s an investment in him as much as it is in me. Or, less seriously: to beat the other dads at sports day and be the fittest dad on the block.”

Sean Parker, Sales Manager

“Strength to me as a father means being around as long as possible to live in the moments with them — not just be a bystander. Staying capable and ready to protect. Earning their respect and encouraging them to respect themselves.”

“Training each morning gives me the headspace and energy to be truly present as a dad. It’s a routine that keeps me grounded — and one I hope to pass on to my kids, showing them that strength is something you build for life, not just in the gym.”

To all the dads out there — here’s to discovering your true potential and showing strength in all its forms. Happy Father’s Day from all of us at PRIMAL.
