There are several solid fitness sites and programs that teach excellent functional training routines and overall fitness. What separates Primal Strength & Conditioning from all of them is our methodology with Threshold Sustainment Training™, Grip Strength, Body Control Exercises, Ballistic Lifts, OODA Loop, and Self- Coach.
There is no other fitness routine that even comes close to the intensity and duration of our Threshold Sustainment Training™. A clear example is our CRAWL Workout©. You are pressing, pushing, lifting, and gripping 900 lbs of weight per minute, on average, for 22 minutes! The workout consists of 830 reps, no breaks and no rest. This workout mimics that fight energy that is utilized during boxing, wrestling or grappling. The workout is the equivalent of a 22 minute round with no breaks! This description still falls short of fully capturing the intensity of the CRAWL Workout©.
An additional area that clearly separates us from other fitness routines is Grip Strength. This is one area where the vast majority of fitness sites claim to train functional strength then fail to address or train any genuine grip strength. Most athletes, at all levels, are clueless in understanding the importance of grip strength. This area of strength training is the most underdeveloped and least understood aspect of functional training.
There is no escaping it at Primal Strength & Conditioning. We hammer this aspect into the vast majority of our training routines. Why? Increasing grip strength has a dramatic effect on overall strength capabilities especially regarding functional strength.
We witnessed the results first hand when tri-athletes, power lifters, Special Forces Operators, and mixed martial artists have completed the CRAWL Workout© for the first time. The results were always the same. At the end of the workout, they were completely fatigued. Many of them could not physically defend themselves or twist off a cap on a water bottle. Why? Because their grip strength was thoroughly fatigued! Physically they were spent. They never train Threshold Sustainment or Grip Strength.
